Ashlee has an idea that could help Grady get a job. What does she have up her sleeve? Will her plan work. Meanwhile, Alan works the police. In fact, he attempts to bribe one, a cop named Maloney, to give him some information. Does the cop take Alan up on his offer?

At the same time, Frank tries to convince Natalia to make a major purchase. Does it have anything to do with the farmhouse? If so, will she heed his advice? Shortly thereafter, Marina and Mallet decide to take their honeymoon after Christmas and not before. It appears they have a few concerns about leaving Daisy alone with Grady and they decide that they don’t want to do it.

Meanwhile, Lizzie appreciates what Dinah has done. She takes the opportunity to thank Dinah for standing by Bill. She then goes so far as to say that they’re not alone now because they have each other. Will Dinah be as open to Lizzie as Lizzie appears to now be towards Dinah? You’ll find out when you tune in to Guiding Light this week

A Search For The Truth
Lizzie confides in Cyrus about Bill. She thought that once he woke up, he could set the record straight about his role in her kidnapping. A heartbroken Bill watches her. Lizzie reads a note from Bill saying that he is leaving town. Alan informs Doris that Bill is violating his bail agreement and leaving town. Bill goes to the factory. Daisy calls Lizzie and tells her that the police are looking for Bill. Lizzie texts Bill. Billy finds Bill and wants Bill to go to the police with him. Lizzie thanks Dinah for sticking up for Bill. Bill calls Dinah and asks to see her. He asks her if he is capable of kidnapping Lizzie. He admits to Dinah that he can’t remember the time around the kidnapping. Alex tells Lizzie that Spaulding is about to go under, but Lizzie only cares about Bill.

Lizzie is angry at Cyrus for not being able to prove that Bill is innocent. Exhausted and stressed, Lizzie collapses into Cyrus’ arms. Rick admits Lizzie into the hospital as she is on the brink of a breakdown. Filled with guilt, Dinah reassures Bill he couldn’t have kidnapped Lizzie, she is positive of it. Dinah is about to tell Bill the truth but she spots Grady and clams up. Dinah urges Bill to go to the police. Grady issues Dinah a warning. Bill goes to Frank and tells him he is being set up. Cyrus tells Bill that Lizzie has been hospitalized. Cyrus tells a guilt ridden Dinah that Alan will kill Bill if the truth came out.

Daisy expects Coop to be on her side regarding Grady. Daisy tells Coop that he would hate it if people started judging him by who he was seeing. Coop knows she is telling the truth. Ashlee wants to help Grady get a job, so she goes to Doris who hires him. Daisy is surprised with Grady’s news while Dinah is stunned. Dinah fears Grady is being set up but he doesn’t believe so. Ashlee tells Daisy that Grady truly loves her and Ashlee is jealous that Daisy has found true love. Dinah suggests to Doris that Bill is being set up but Doris is convinced of his guilt. Grady tries to decipher a code that he found at Doris’ desk and is shocked when Doris catches him and compliments him. Doris tells Ashlee that she once dated a guy like Grady. Grady asks Daisy to move in with him now that Marina and Mallet are married.

Daisy tells the newlyweds that she wants to move out so that they can have their space. Mallet wants Daisy to wait until after the holidays before she makes a decision. Daisy agrees, and then overhears Mallet and Marina saying that they don’t think she will move in with Grady. Daisy decides to move out immediately and leaves with Grady.

Springfield Happenings
Mallet and Marina decide to throw a holiday party instead of a wedding reception. After the holidays, they will go on a honeymoon. Natalia feels guilty that Olivia lost her job. Frank tries to convince Natalia to buy the farmhouse, much to Rafe’s delight. Olivia calls Natalia and asks for her help. Natalia agrees to buy the farmhouse if Olivia will rent a room from her.

Ava's return:
Ava returns mainly to explore her feelings for Remy. They remember Baby Max and share a kiss. She suggests that they take a trip to San Francisco, where she has been offered a job. He hesitates and Ava assumes there's a new girlfriend. There are also emotional moments with Olivia and Jeffrey. MRS seems to be hinting that she could be back sometime, but there is nothing to announce right now.

Phillip's return:
His re-entry is "tumultous, emotional and action-packed." according to writer, Jill Lori Hurst, who also confirms that he will have an immediate effect on a number of peoples' lives. She calls him a classic, Gothic romantic hero, and they have written in several little moments that sentimental viewers will recognize as "Phillip-like things." No spoilers regarding his storyline, but JLH says GA didn't insist on anything or ask to approve anything before he re-signed. There is a good feeling on set at his return.

This Week on: Guiding Light
A frustrated Daisy is having a heart to heart conversation with Coop, telling him how he of all people should approve of her relationship with Grady. With Ashlee convincing Doris to hire Grady, Dinah is stunned by Doris' decision. A worried Dinah thinks she and Grady are being set up by the police. Grady assures her that isn't happening, he's got it all covered!

Although Dinah suggests to Doris that the kidnapper is setting Bill up, Doris is not buying it at all. In fact, she's convinced that Bill is guilty. Doris catches Grady with her black book. Surprisingly, Grady actually likes Doris.

Doris opens up to her daughter, Ashlee telling her that Grady is similar to a guy she dated in high school. She doesn't want Ashlee to make the same mistake that she made; she then offers a little advise to her daughter. Doris tells her to live her life and not to be afraid of it. Daisy want Marina and Mallet to stop treating her like a child, she wants to be treated like an adult. Daisy is now ready to move in with Grady permanently. Mallet and Marina try to stop her but what happens when Grady shows up?

The Inside Story
Alan is seeking information from detective Malloy so he decides to pay him off. A heartbroken Bill watches as a disappointed Lizzie confides in Cyrus. Bill decides to skip town and an APB is issued for him. After being informed about the APB for Bill, a worried Lizzie alerts Bill by texting him. Bill is shocked to see Billy. Lizzie is grateful for Dinah standing by Bill's side. Meanwhile, Bill wants to meet with Dinah privately. Bill admits the secret to Dinah that he's been keeping.

Even though Alex tells Lizzie that the company is facing a huge possibility of failing with the Decker plan not going their way, Lizzie is not about to abandon Bill. Lizzie is furious at Cyrus for not finding anything to prove Bill's innocence. A weak Lizzie collapses into Cyrus' arms. Lizzie is admitted to the hospital.

A Closer Look
A guilty Dinah is about to confess to Bill but couldn't do so after she spots Grady. Grady warns Dinah that Alan will kill Bill to get back at her if she confess to the police. Cyrus agrees with Grady. A devastated Bill finds Lizzie in the hospital and blames himself for everything.

A guilty Natalia realizes what Olivia had to do to get the money back. Frank tries to convince Natalia to buy the farmhouse and Rafe agrees with him. Olivia calls Natalia. Natalia signs for the house.

A Lewis Family Gift

Dinah believes that Shayne is suicidal when she sees his car parked on the railroad tracks. Shayne brushes her off, insisting that he is doing it for the rush. Alan and Bill argue. Bill realizes that Alan could be Lizzie’s kidnapper. Alan demands to be put on the stand, which Billy overhears. Shayne admits that it would be easier if he was gone. Billy and Josh discuss Bill and Shayne. Bill tells Dinah that he has figured out who the kidnapper is and that the trial is next week. Bill is determined to prove it is Alan, but Dinah cautions him for his own safety. Dinah has to make a decision. Shayne tells Dinah that the police don’t have enough evidence against Bill. Shayne kisses Dinah. Josh tells Reva that Shayne is supposed to ship out again but he doesn’t think Shayne should go because of his injuries. Reva insists that Josh forgive himself. Josh and Reva start to fight after learning from Shayne that Jeffrey helped him get permission to leave the country. After Reva is winded, Shayne agrees to stay until Christmas. Josh issues a warning to Jeffrey: Stay away from Shayne. Reva apologizes to Shayne about missing his childhood. Josh visits the scene of Shayne’s car accident. Shayne and Dinah discuss their kiss.

Bill doesn’t want Lizzie to know about his court summons, but Billy disagrees. Cyrus tells Dinah he has a plan to steal the evidence against Bill. Dinah tells Bill that they both know who kidnapped Lizzie and it wasn’t Alan. Shayne asks Dinah to come to Europe with him. She hesitantly agrees. Dinah tries to record the WSPR Christmas message but can’t. Dinah takes Shayne up on his offer of Christmas at Cross Creek. Shayne is angry at Jeffrey when he discovers that his passport has been flagged. Jeffrey tells Shayne that Reva needs him. Jeffrey gives Shayne his childhood ornament, Shayne throws it aside. Shayne loses control of his wheelchair and flips it over. He finds his ornament. Bill admits to Dinah that he could have kidnapped Lizzie. Josh and Reva apologize to each other. Billy reads the Christmas story as he, Josh and Reva finish up decorating the Christmas tree. Shayne rolls in, gets to his feet and puts his ornament on the tree. He’s not leaving, Shayne tells them. Reva declares it the best Christmas gift ever. Bill opens his gift from Billy, a laptop with a video of Lizzie in China. Bill and Lizzie declare their love for one another. Josh suggests to Reva and Jeffrey that Shayne be their baby’s godfather. Reva’s baby kicks. Dinah asks Shayne for help. The two go to a warehouse where Shayne lights a Molotov cocktail. Shayne throws it into the window and a fire ignites, destroying the evidence against Bill. Dinah slips her hand into Shayne’s as her Christmas message airs through Springfield.

Springfield Happenings

Remy and Ava decide to go to San Francisco for Christmas. The present that he sent Christina is sent back to him. Remy goes to see Christina’s grandmother who gives him Christina’s address. Remy tells Ava the truth about Christina. Ava realizes how much Remy cares for Christina and decides that she will go to San Francisco alone. Remy goes to the address that Christina’s grandmother gave him, it’s a graveyard. Remy spies Christina at her mother’s grave. Remy tells Christina that he is not going away with Ava. Christina reveals the real reason why she wanted to study medicine and that she has always hated the holidays. But this year, she doesn’t.

Natalia and Olivia’s living arrangement is not working out. Emma and Natalia buy a tree. Frank thinks that’s Natalia is a good influence on Emma. Olivia arranges for an artificial tree for Emma. Emma wants the tree that she and Natalia picked out. Olivia searches for Natalia’s old address. Olivia decides to move back to the Beacon on New Year’s Day. Emma goes outside, unseen. Olivia panics and tells Natalia that Emma is missing. Natalia vows that they will find Emma. Frank calls Olivia to tell her that he has Emma. Emma left to go see Rafe. Emma tells Olivia she doesn’t want to move because the farmhouse feels like a real home. Olivia gives Natalia a gift, the crown molding from her apartment where she marked off Rafe’s height as he grew. Natalia is touched and hands her gift to Olivia. It’s a set of keys. Natalia wants them to stay and Olivia agrees.

SOAPDOM SNEAK PEEKS

Olivia and Natalia are living together, but it’s not a match made in Heaven. In fact, both of them express to different people just how they feel about the living arrangement. We’ve got to wonder just how long it is going to last.

At the same time, Remy makes a few decisions regarding the two women in his life, namely Ava and Christina. Does he continue with his plan to go with Ava to San Francisco, or does he take heed of something Christina’s grandmother tells him and choose to remain behind in Springfield?

Meanwhile, it turns out that Shayne has a very dangerous pastime. Dinah thinks he could be suicidal, but he swears it’s all and only about the adrenaline rush. What has gotten into Shayne that would make him put not only his life, but the lives of others in peril?

Reva and Josh mince words over Shayne and the part that Jeffrey has played in helping Shayne leave the country. But the strain is too much for Reva. Is her life in any danger?

While from China, Lizzie sends a video Christmas greeting to Bill. She vows that she will be by his side until his name is cleared. How will he react? Keep your remote glued to Guiding Light this week and see. But remember that on Christmas Day, Thursday, December 25th, the show is pre-empted. Merry Christmas.

Uncharted Territory : Jessica Leccia envisions a brighter road ahead for Natalia

-Certainly part of the change in Natalia's life is her ever-expanding bond with former foe Olivia. Describing the pair as Springfield's version of Thelma & Louise may be a stretch, yet Leccia says they have a lot in common. "At one point, we were two very desperate women chasing the same dream," she acknowledges. The trauma of Gus' death and Olivia receiving his heart linked the ladies together in ways they never imagined. "I think it's safe to call us friends now," Leccia chuckles. "We yell at each other, scold, each other, and then we make up. I like our dynamic."

For Leccia, playing Natalia's relationship with Olivia is providing her with the opportunity to show her character's feisty, pull-no-punches side. "They get very gritty, and the honesty between them keeps the friendship going." observes the beauty. And she adds that the unlikely duo need to hear the truth -- even if it hurts." Natalia needs to hear that sometimes she's being an idiot -- and vice-versa. You appreciate when people can level with you.

-- One issue Natalia hasn't addressed -- finding love again. Regarding Frank, she knows he's a good guy, but Natalia lost the love of her life, so she's not rushing into anything. "You don't know where your heart is sgoing to go after that, so you just have to see what happens." she teases.
