I am just barely into this "family" of Venice, DOOL, CC&Friends, which all began with my recouperation from surgery and turn of the channel to GH. Of everyone I have met online; Cathy made me feel most welcome.

While I didn't know Cathie on a personal level beyond her presence on Twitter, and briefly here on CCnFriends, I have learned that she was a wonderful person with a genuine spirit about her. She will be well missed by all.

Lots of love go to Cathie's family, and as well to Crystal and the Venice team.

Those who leave, never do it while they love us and we love them. Because love never goes away, it multiplies itself because for it, there is no answer except more love.
If you feel their love at your side or inside you, you owe them to be the person they would have like to see you being. Be happy and enjoy life for all of those who leaved us. To do the same we´ll like them to do if it were us the ones to leave.

A smile to the air in their honor, it´s like an “I love you” that would never die. If closing our eyes and breathing deeply, hundreds of memories draw a smile in our face it means that we are never alone.

Love is above everything, like a ray of sun that shine with increasing force after the storm. Every day the sun rises, everything passes but hope, the warmth of our friends, and learn that happiness is just an accumulation of moments we can´t forget.

I was lucky to meet and speak with Cathie. She was such a kind and positive person. When I saw this news I was devastated.

Guiding Light was always a family show, and I always had a schoolboy crush on CC. I remember being in high school not able to afford a membership and Cathie made me an honorary member. Cathie was a great lady.

My prayers are with her and her family.

My family and I wanted to extend a warm Happy Thanksgiving wish to Cathie's famiy, and to all her closest friends. She is with you always in your hearts, and never to part.@Crystal Chappell:I want to say something if it wasn't for you, posting on twitter about keeping Prayers for Cathie. You put the word out and she may have went on to the Lord but she is at peace now!!! There was a little more time to say goodbye, we never really no why. She has no more pain, and i think out of this came great valued come together Prayer time that was much needed. Come on peeps we need more Prayer, Crystal you had the right idea!!!! Btw Crystal my sis&I are great fans of urs, you're an outstanding actress!!!You have an Angel Heart as well, you have a lot of Love in that heart of yours.May God Bless You for that!!!!

I'm really sorry to hear this news. It's clear that Cathie really cared a lot about CC to work so diligently for her. I'm sorry for her family as this is the worst time of year to lose a loved one. Not that any time is good but well Thanksgiving and Christmas will always be tied to her passing for them. I hope all of her family and friends can eventually see this time as a reminder of their love and turn it into a positive.

I've been away from the board for awhile. My condulences go out to Cathie's family. She was devoted to this board and Crystal's fan club. I never met her, but had so much respect and admiration for her work on this board and support of Crystal.

I met Cathie thru twitter. We had several converstaions about Crystal and the work she does and how wonderfull she is. I still have every response that she wrote to me. I had made a video for Crystal and I will never know if she ever got a hold of her to tell her about it. But if you want a copy of the im's Crystal i will be more than happy to send them to you. I know how much she meant to you and your family and friends. She always spoke highly of you when we chatted.

I only knew Cathie online, but I need to say that she touched my heart. Every interaction with her was met with kindness, humor, and efficiency when I had a question. I loved hearing her CC stories in chat on Fridays. Her love and admiration for Crystal was "crystal clear."

I really do miss her. She was one of a kind.

God bless you, Cathie, and your loved ones, although I'm sure you are guiding them and loving them from above, like the highly-respected teacher you are.

You are missed very much by so many.

All this success Crystal is having right now would've made Cathie just BEAM!!! There's not one day that I don't think of her...not one day!!!

it's been a rough 10 days since my mother was admitted into the hospital, and as i sit outside her room waiting to see her again before she goes to sleep for the night, it's hard for me to believe that our dear, loving, gracious Cathie has been gone for over 3 months! what a delightful human being who showed love for all of us as fans and friends of Crystal. i knew Cathie through twitter and emails. i'm so sorry i never had the opportunity to meet her in person, but i adore the stories i hear from those who knew her. she loved Crystal and was so dedicated to her Fan Club events and loved meeting everyone! she talked about how excited she was that the 2010 luncheon was gloing to be on the west coast and looked forward to taking that trip (I'm sure we'll honor Cathie in a big way at Crystal's luncheon this year).

thank you Crystal for sharing such a wonderful person with us, she is truly missed...every single day! i know she is smiling down on us and proud of how we have all come together as a community to support & love you and your endeavors!
